Toggle Clamp
Description:
A toggle clamp is a mechanical device used to secure objects in place by applying a clamping force. It consists of a lever that pivots on a hinge and a clamping plate that moves perpendicular to the lever. When the lever is in the up position, the clamping plate is free to move, allowing the workpiece to be inserted or removed. However, when the lever is pushed down, it causes the clamping plate to move towards the workpiece and lock it in place. Toggle clamps are commonly used in woodworking, metalworking, and other industrial applications where a quick and repeatable clamping action is required. They come in a variety of sizes and styles to suit various clamping needs.
